CBRE has promoted Philip Voorhees to vice chairman, the highest producer ranking at the firm, according to a release from a representative of CBRE. Voorhees heads the firm’s National Retail Partners–West (NRP-West) team based in Newport Beach, California, which has closed 63 transactions year to date and all-time closings of $11 billion, the statement says.
Voorhees and his team represent sellers of retail properties in the Western U.S., California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii, the source reports. Since the start of 2012, the group has sold 316 retail assets, totaling more than $5 billion in value as of the third quarter 2018.
Voorhees and his team’s most significant assignments this year include the $133 million trade of Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, Arizona; the Bella Terra adjacent Edinger Plaza for $65.5 million in Huntington Beach, California; and the $46.5 million sale of Bristol Center in Santa Ana, California, according to the statement.
The release also says since joining CBRE in 2001, Voorhees has consistently ranked among the firm’s top producers. In 2015, he was the company’s No. 1 retail investment broker nationally and was also part of the firm’s Top 100 in Southern California for 13 years.
