New hires and executive moves
JLL Office Exec Moves from Chicago to OC
Monica Moore, a managing director in JLL’s Chicago office, has relocated to Orange County, California. The statement says Moore has been representing office landlords for 20 years and has “a strong track record of repositioning assets for both institutional and entrepreneurial owners.”
Moore joined JLL’s Chicago office in 2005 and oversaw leasing and delivering results at some of Downtown Chicago’s premier office buildings.
Jeff Ingham, JLL’s senior managing director in the firm’s Orange County office, says, “We are grateful to have one of JLL’s premier dealmakers join our office. Monica’s knowledge and expertise will be valued by Orange County landlords as well as JLL’s leasing, capital markets, and project- and development-services teams.”
According to Peter Belisle, JLL’s southwest market director, the expansion of the firm’s agency office-leasing team in SoCal remains a big focus for the company. He adds, “With the evolution of workspaces, Monica’s background is perfect to advise our investor clients and provide asset value and stability.”
Moore holds a Master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She is a member of ULI, CREW and NAIOP.
Project Manager at Fuscoe Engineering
Fuscoe Engineering Inc. has hired Martin Jones as a project manager in its San Diego regional office location. Jones is a California-licensed professional civil engineer with over 12 years of combined design and project-management experience. He has strong expertise in land development and has provided services for multifamily and mixed-use residential projects as well as master planned communities.
Jones is currently working on the Midway Drive Apartments, a large multifamily development in the Midway District of San Diego, for HV Companies.
Eric Armstrong, Fuscoe;s San Diego regional director, calls Jones “a talented project manager who will not hesitate to roll up his sleeves to help our clients accomplish their goals. His engineering acumen and leadership fortify our San Diego group and increase our bench strength. We are very fortunate to have Martin become a key member of our team.”
Associate Managing Director at Syska Hennessy SD
International engineering firm Syska Hennessy Group has promoted nine professionals across six offices to the position of associate principal. Among those is Sean Marcel, who has been promoted from associate managing director to associate principal in the firm’s San Diego office.
The other professionals promoted and their previous positions are James Carrigan, associate practice area director, fire/life safety (New York); Alex Engelman, associate practice area director, lead electrical engineer (New York); Mike Falkenstern, associate practice area director, commissioning (New York); Josh Fluecke, electrical systems design (Chicago); Niki Fox, associate practice area director, commercial infrastructure and broadcast media (New York); George Hachem, associate practice area director, national life sciences (Raleigh, North Carolina); Kevin Meyer, electrical consulting (Jacksonville, Florida); and Alex Myers, mechanical systems (Charlotte, North Carolina).
Regarding the promotions, co-president Cyrus Izzo, says, “Syska is a management-owned firm, which is one of the keys to our success. Associate principals are rising leaders in the ownership structure.”
Co-president Gary Brennen adds: “We just celebrated Syska’s 90th anniversary. These associate principals will play an important role in positioning us for the next 90 years.”
Associate VP at Kidder Mathews
Stephen Shekhar has joined Kidder Mathews’ Carlsbad, California, office as an associate VP, where he will specialize in brokerage and consulting services for hospitality properties.
Shekhar has been in the commercial real estate industry for over 10 years and has been involved in more than $200 million in property sales. Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, he was with Marcus & Millichap.
Knapp Joins Arrimus Capital
Arrimus Capital, a multifamily investment and development company based in Newport Beach, California, has hired Lance Knapp as an associate. Knapp will focus on acquisition underwriting and asset management.
Knapp previously worked at Griffin Capital Securities in Los Angeles as an acquisitions associate, where he underwrote acquisitions of net lease office and industrial buildings located throughout the country. Prior to Griffin Capital, he worked at Eastdil Secured, where he assisted in underwriting more than 145 million square feet of commercial real estate across a variety of property types.
Knapp received a bachelor of science in finance from New York University.
