Craig Realty Group’s Outlets at San Clemente, Orange County’s first and only coastal-outlet shopping and dining destination, will open a Metropolitan Theatres cinema in 2019. The 45,000-square-foot luxury cinema will feature 10 auditoriums, including a 60-foot premium large format screen.

Additionally, the theater will offer a full-service restaurant and bar, providing moviegoers with dining options before and after the film, as well as in-auditorium service. Operated by Metropolitan Theatres, the all-digital experience will feature leading-edge technology and reserved luxury-recliner seating.

Metropolitan Theatres currently operates a collection of historic properties and modern multiplexes among its 16 theatres and 89 screens in California, Colorado, Idaho and Utah. This will be its only location in Orange County.

“With expansive parking, plans for more than a dozen restaurants, and a prime location on the Pacific coastline, Outlets at San Clemente is the ideal fit for a new luxury dine-in cinema,” says David Corwin, president of Metropolitan Theatres. “We look forward to adding a new entertainment element to this beautiful property to serve South Orange County residents and visitors alike.”

Envisioned as a gathering place for the community, the theater aims to provide the opportunity for shoppers to enjoy luxury entertainment, as well as shopping and dining, at Outlets at San Clemente, according to Craig Realty Group. The center currently features nearly 60 stores and restaurants, including the new permanent location for Hurley Factory Store that opened on March 30 after a successful pop-up shop in Fall/Winter 2017.

Upcoming openings include the Rockwell’s Cafe & Bakery opening in late April and Kevin Jewelers in the spring. Additionally, the first of four ocean-view restaurants is expected to be announced soon.
