Industry veteran Dan Sheridan has become a partner with commercial real estate advisory firm Hoffman Strategy Group, based in the firm’s Newport Beach, California, office. Sheridan, previously president of the Retail Properties Division for The Irvine Company, has more than 20 years of retail real estate experience including serving as COO of Centennial Real Estate and EVP of asset management with General Growth Properties.

Hoffman Strategy Group works with owners of shopping malls and centers and developers of retail, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects and municipalities. The firm provides comprehensive advisory services, including master planning for development and redevelopment development feasibility, highest and best-use feasibility analysis, location analytics, revenue forecasting, and optimal retail tenant mix and merchandising strategies.

“Over the past several years, mixed-use development projects have been on the rise throughout the country because of the fundamental shifts occurring in the retail industry and in consumer preferences for lifestyle experiences,” says Jerry Hoffman, CEO of Hoffman Strategy Group. He adds that Sheridan’s expertise adds greater horse-power to the firm’s client relationships “by focusing on shopping center redevelopment that emphasizes ‘right-sizing’ the retail along with adding mixed uses to the property and integrating retail, restaurants and entertainment components to new ground-up mixed-use projects.”
