NAIOP SoCal recently held its annual Night at the Fights event at Hotel Irvine in Irvine, California, to a sold-out crowd of close to 1,000 commercial real estate professionals. The event raised $10,000 for Building Block Foundation Fund, which supports at-risk youths in Orange County through partnerships with local charitable programs.

Attendees at the gala event experienced the Clash of the Gladiators and the second annual “Real Estate Rumble,” which puts commercial real estate professionals in the ring to do battle. This year’s Rumble pitted Mark Vanis of Kidder Mathews against Chuck Campbell of Lee & Associates and Dale Camera of Lee & Associates vs. Andrew Irvine of Marcus & Millichap. Also featured were professional title-level boxing and MMA battles.

Guests experienced the visual of living Greek statues and enjoyed pre-event cocktails and networking before moving into the ballroom for the main event. The Real Estate Rumble champions, who experienced weeks of training to gain entry to the ring, were Chuck Campbell, awarded light-heavyweight champion, and Andrew Irvine, now two-time heavyweight champion.

The evening also featured casino games, live music, networking, and post-dinner cigar smoking, and NAIOP SoCal presented its check to representatives of the Building Block Foundation Fund.
