Downtown San Diego continues to attract retailers. Park 12, a mixed-use community being developed and to be operated by Greystar Real Estate Partners LLC at 100 Park Plaza in the East Village neighborhood, has signed leases with three new retail tenants, according to a release from a representative of Greystar.
The newly signed tenants include Mexican eatery Carmelita’s; Australian-based fitness training studio F45, and Creamistry, an ice-cream-shop chain that uses liquid nitrogen to custom create its product, according to the release
Park 12 is described in the release as a four-building luxury-apartment and retail community overlooking San Diego Bay and Petco Park that will feature 45,000 square feet of ground-level retail space, with space to accommodate 17 retail venues. Tower residents are beginning to move in to the project, formerly called Ballpark Village, which is slated to be completed this fall, the statement says.
Located across from Petco Park, Park 12 comprises one high-rise and three mid-rise buildings, says the release, which says the finished project is set to feature 371 luxury apartments in a 37-story tower and 347 units in one six and two-seven-story midrise buildings for a total of 718 rental homes. Residences are described as including studio and one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans in addition to penthouse suites, with square footage ranging from 518 square feet to 2,824 square feet. The property’s four buildings, varying in size and scope, are said to be connected by a pair of above-the-street bridges, “enabling residents to easily move to and from amenity decks in the separate buildings.” Each building reportedly offers direct access to Petco Park.
The release also says the community will also feature a semicircular public plaza at 10th and Park lined by retail venues and restaurants.
